Soulpower Rising:
Lake Atitlán, Guatemala

Soulpower Rising:
Dance of the Ancient Mothers
April 10-17, 2027

A transformational, 7 night somatic immersion along the jade-colored shores of beautiful Lake Atitlán.

We awaken an ancient wisdom deep within the essence of our body, heart and soul.

This week is an invitation to strengthen our intuitive knowing through the joy of movement, rhythm, and dance, our voice and song, and the powerful grace of sacred ritual and ceremony.

We resonate and rise.

We explore and embody the matriarchal and Mayan archetypes:
the Serpent and the Moon
the Midwife,
the Warrior,
and the Sun.

This is the Dance of the Ancient Mothers.

The Ancient Mothers are not just stories to inspire us. They live within us as daughters, sisters, lovers, mothers, matriarchs, healers, creators, protectors, and wisdom keepers.

We honor and reclaim each one.

Cradled by the natural beauty of the land, the rich history and living culture of the vibrant Mayan people, we merge with the vibrational rhythm that pulses through these sacred waters and mountains.

With a joyful, willing heart
and the power of our life force energy,
we embody our deeper knowing.

Lake Atitlán is a beautiful, crystal lake born over 84,000 years ago from a volcanic eruption.

Underneath are the submerged ruins of a 2,000-year-old Mayan city.

We dive into the timelessness.

Held within the living magic of an ancient calendar system,
and by the dynamic presence of three sacred volcanoes:

Volcán Atitlán, Volcán Tolimán, and Volcán San Pedro.

We stay at the beautiful Villa Sumaya.
A stunning retreat center,
built and tended with utmost integrity
and loving care for over 25 years.

Breathe in these incredible views,
be nourished by the land and people,
and sink into spaciousness.

Explore. Discover. Receive.

The beauty and spirit of Guatemala are woven through the vibrant colors, rich artistry, and living traditions of Mayan culture.

To immerse in it
is to awaken something new,
yet something deeply familiar.

Ceremony and Ritual:

The sacred gifts of communing with cacao, blue lotus, shamanic sound and traditional Mayan Fire Ceremony with a Mayan Shaman.

Energy
Transmissions:

Energetic attunement and connection to our life force energy through activations, breathwork & meditations.

Movement, Dance, & Song Circle:

Playfulness, freedom, and creative expression in a safe and supportive container.

Why This Retreat?
Why Now?

We are in a time of immense, unpredictable, and ungrounding change.

We are continually processing uncertainty,
loss, grief, division, and the relentless pace of our lives.

And yet, here we are.

Steadfastly tending,
creating safety and stability,
and showing up for all we hold dear.

This retreat is meant for the women warriors.

Those who feel the call to soften
and strengthen at the same time.

Those who have courage in the midst of the unknown
and want to feel safe enough to
let go and trust.

This retreat is an opportunity to deepen intuition,
strengthen self awareness,
and experience the support of
a community of authentic women.

To uplift each other.
And see in each other,

the mirror of our own essence.

In this retreat we open the pathways to the Ancient Mothers
through our bodies as instruments,
our hearts as loving presence,
and our spirit as alchemists.

We move, we dance, we sing, we circle,
as pathways to ourselves.

We remember we are sacred beings.

Tuning in to energy and aliveness
beyond what is visible.
And there is always more within us waiting to emerge.

We reclaim what has been neglected.

Nourish what longs to grow.
Return to ourselves
more inspired, more whole,
and more connected
to everything around us.

About Misa…

The desire to connect heart, body, and soul has guided my path for many years, but the inspiration behind this work has always been the people I have the privilege to share it with.

Together, transformation becomes more possible
.

For the past 11 years, I have facilitated dance, movement, and spiritual embodiment practices in community to offer experiences that invite greater authenticity, deeper somatic access to self-healing, and profound freedom through creative expression.

This marks my third retreat offering and I humbly approach it with deep gratitude and reverence for everyone and everything that has guided, supported or participated on this path of discovery and growth.

As a student of the Mayan and Dreamspell calendars, the opportunity to gather in the sacred lands of Guatemala and explore these teachings through movement, ritual, and community feels especially meaningful. I visited this land just this year, and it profoundly changed my life.

I believe there is something there for you, too.

Thank you for your trust and your willingness to explore the call to this journey. I would be so honored to share it with you.

With love,

Misa
